My research is in novel hardware for end-to-end computational imaging systems, fusing CMOS sensor design with optics, machine learning, and a healthy dose of classical signal processing. It’s inherently inter- and intra-disciplinary work, which is how I like it; I follow where the interesting questions lead!
I’m committed to STEM outreach, both to inspire young people to get excited about electrical engineering, and also to make research careers more accessible to women and under-represented minorities. When we design our curricula and classrooms for diversity, equity, and inclusion, all students benefit.
I’m currently a postdoc at Rice University and a member of the Academy of Fellows, jointly advised by Ashok Veeraraghavan and Rich Baraniuk.
